About the Author
Eric Skaggs spent most of his growing-up years in rural Ohio, playing in the woods surrounding his home in Fredericksburg, a town of 500 people that felt very much like Andy Griffith's Mayberry. His maternal grandfather, Byron Swartz, was mayor. His father, Nyle (from Edmond, WV), was on the town council, and his mother, Janice, played piano for the church. His hobbies have included playing various stringed instruments in church, songwriting, hiking, writing short essays on his blog, and genealogy. He and his wife, Aimee, have been married for over thirty-two years. They have two sons who are married and a daughter who is in high school. Having recently become grandparents, they are enjoying a new Skaggs generation.
